In recent years, wolves have returned to increasingly widespread areas in Italy. Along with sightings, the need for accurate, simple, and evidence-based information has grown.
For this reason, we are pleased to present two new materials created in collaboration with the LIFE Wild Wolf project: a poster and an informational leaflet dedicated to good etiquette in wolf-inhabiting areas. The materials provide practical advice on how to prevent encounters, how to behave during a potential encounter, and how to recognize rare but possible cases that warrant reporting to the relevant authorities.
The goal is not to fuel fears or minimize problems, but to provide concrete tools to foster a conscious coexistence between people and wildlife.
We believe that good communication is one of the pillars of coexistence: understanding wolf behavior, knowing what to do, and knowing what to avoid, means reducing conflict and addressing the presence of this species with greater peace of mind.
Thanks to all the LIFE Wild Wolf project partners for this collaboration and for the work done.
The printed materials are available free of charge at our meetings and can be used by municipalities, organizations, associations, and anyone who wants to help spread information about the wolf.
