Coexistence Fund 2026 – Subscriptions Open

At a particularly delicate time, Io non ho paura del lupo APS is opening subscriptions for the 2026 edition of the Coexistence Fund.

In recent days, we have witnessed a series of particularly brutal poaching incidents , resulting in the killing of over a dozen wolves in a very short period of time. These events cannot be considered isolated, but are part of an increasingly tense and polarized climate surrounding the presence of large carnivores. This scenario forcefully highlights the urgency of working concretely to reduce conflict, promoting effective prevention tools and fostering genuine coexistence between human activities and wildlife. Coexistence with wolves is a complex balance that cannot be delegated solely to institutions, but directly demands the responsibility of civil society as a whole.

In this context, Io non ho paura del lupo APS (I'm Not Afraid of the Wolf) is opening subscriptions for the 2026 edition of the Coexistence Fund, a small "instrumental" fund that provides materials, products, and services to promote coexistence with large carnivores. This initiative is open to all professional and amateur breeders, with a special focus on smaller businesses , seeking to support those who cannot benefit from institutional funding due to the sometimes hobbyist nature of managing their livestock.

Thanks to this fund, we will provide, free of charge and subject to the initiative's financial resources, equipment, products, and services to improve predator prevention systems, signage for managing livestock guard dogs, and, more generally, anything that can help foster coexistence between livestock and large predators.

Furthermore, one of the project's secondary goals is to create a network of virtuous breeders, promoting training and the exchange of unused livestock equipment, telling their stories to give a voice to the communities involved, and encouraging donations of materials and services useful to the initiative from companies and individuals.
