At a particularly delicate time, Io non ho paura del lupo APS is opening subscriptions for the 2026 edition of the Coexistence Fund.
In recent days we have witnessed a sequence of particularly bloody poaching episodes which led to the killing of over ten wolves in a very short period of time. These are events that cannot be considered isolated, but which are part of an increasingly tense and polarized climate around the presence of large carnivores. This scenario strongly highlights how urgent it is to work concretely to reduce conflict, promoting effective prevention tools and encouraging real coexistence between human activities and wildlife. Coexistence with the wolf is a complex balance, which cannot be delegated exclusively to institutions, but which directly calls into question the responsibility of civil society as a whole.
In this context, I'm not afraid of the wolf APS subscriptions are open for the 2026 edition of the Coexistence Fund, a small “instrumental” fund that provides materials, products and services with the aim of promoting coexistence with large carnivores. This initiative is dedicated to all professional and non-professional breeders, with a special focus on smaller businesses, trying to help those who cannot benefit from institutional assistance due to the sometimes hobbyist nature of managing their farm animals.
Thanks to this fund We will deliver, free of charge and within the limits of the economic availability for the initiative, equipment, products and services useful for improving prevention systems against predator attacks, signs for the management of guard dogs and, more generally, anything that can be useful for promoting coexistence between livestock and large predators.
Furthermore, among the secondary goals of this project there is to create a network of virtuous breeders, promoting the training and exchange of zootechnical material when no longer used, telling their stories to give voice to the realities involved and encourage donations of materials and services useful to the initiative by companies or individuals.
The project was made possible thanks to the special contribution of The European Nature Trust to whom we send a special thanks. Membership is possible by filling out the expression of interest form. which you can find at the bottom of this page.
