The wolf always comes when you least expect it, now for me it is a fact.
Maybe that morning, yet another stalking at dawn of the week in Abruzzo we were now a little tired, but both Daniele and I didn't feel too sorry when, more out of laziness than distraction, we forgot both our faithful stands car photography ...
And so, a little for divine punishment, there were three wolves that peeped that morning, at different times, all went looking for some remains near the carcass of a deer preyed on the river bed, trying to take it away or consume some leftover meat.
When the wolf arrives, often from the surroundings there are many animals who decide that perhaps it is not air, so both a deer and a large boar thought it was time to move away, frightening the wolf who was then in the open, and who, as soon as he realized of the presence of the big suide, instinctively thought of chasing it, without success.
So I found myself shooting the scene, 600mm of free-hand focal length is a great challenge even for the most steady arm, but in the end, thanks to some software stabilization to help I managed to mount this video-souvenir that we want to share with you.
