Our journey resumes within the #TheCoexistenceFund initiatives to tell the stories of those who have chosen the path of coexistence with large predators.

Today we are in the Parma Apennines where we met Franco from the Montagnana organic farm, animated by a great passion for cattle breeding and for the mountains where he was born and where he decided to stay and live and work by starting his company several years ago. With a long history, between the milk crisis and other difficulties Franco has managed today to fulfill his dream, that of producing organic Parmigiano Reggiano through direct sales. To coexist with predators in the territory Franco uses one of the best deterrents, his herd, made up of close-knit animals that, thanks to this cohesion, protect each other, allowing Franco to keep the young cattle grazing as well. During this journey, carried out within the project "The Coexistence Fund - The coexistence fund" we also met other breeders and during the next few weeks we will tell you their stories, all united by a great passion for a job that, from our point of view, it is even more beautiful when it is carried out in harmony with all the elements of the ecosystem.
