From Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2020
Ghirardi Oasis Regional Nature Reserve - Borgo Val di Taro (Parma)
Three days of field immersed in an exciting location in the heart of the Ghirardi Nature Reserve, over 600 hectares of protected area, in Val Taro (Parma) which, in addition to being part of the territory of the Reserve herd, hosts a large population of fallow deer and roe deer.
Through an interesting didactic part, full of images and videos we will deepen the biology and ethology of the wolf, the conflicts with human activities and with the field trips we will learn to move silently, to lurk and to recognize and interpret the signs of presence of the fauna as well as discover the different monitoring techniques used with particular focus on photo-video trapping.
We will meet the breeders Elena and Roberto and their guardian dogs, who live within the Ghirardi Reserve, together with them we will talk about prevention systems and problems related to coexistence.
